* After a long day, place hot compresses on your eyes for few minutes.
* Act like kids sometimes: do mischief or tease your spouse.
* After u have done all, you can, to improve a situation, forget about it.
* Avoid confrontations. In it even the winner is a looser.
* Avoid smoke-filled rooms and smoking.
* Buy a back and neck massager and put it to good use.
* Challenge yourself with a good crossword puzzle.
* Close your eyes and think of a serene place. Visit that place in your mind’s eye.
* Close your eyes, breathe out the tension and stress. Feel them going out of your body.
* Take a glass of water and start sipping it as if you are being offered nectar by the gods. It is a great relaxation exercise.

In reality it is possible find people who will not be able to read or write properly, but impossible to find one who do not support corruption directly or indirectly. The above sentence could be taken as a statement and it hold true from America to Argentina, from England to Yugoslavia or any country u name it. But there is a great difference between under developed countries and developed countries. In developed countries people ask bribe to do things they should not (which is acceptable to certain extent). But in under-developed and developing countries the case is different. They ask bribe to do the work they must, for which they are paid. This attitude is the one that makes these countries to stay developing. Though if someone comes forward to stop it from where would he start? Every one of us, in our life time, has been involved in some sort of corruption that would benefit us. All that we could do now is promise ourselves to be clean. Let’s try to make this world a better place to live in.

A New type of Alarming system for earthquake detection is designed as follows. The Alarm unit can be made handy and also economical. The signal that this unit makes can be heard at one’s residence few moments before the quake could be sensed by the individual, giving enough time for him or her to act. Just as the lightning is seen before the thunder could be heard, the unit designed by us gives an alarm even before the quake could be sensed. There is an electric potential generated due to the motion of the rocks, which is transmitted to the control room. The electronics is duly built such that these electrical potential is detected and converted into sound waves and are transmitted to the alarm units. The simple unit so designed by us, if brought to execution can save humanity from devastation.

The recent talk of the town is the Tibetan protest against China. Though the way they do is condemnable there is no flaw in their intensions. Not only Tibet, but china has conquered a part of almost all its neighboring countries. So some sort of embarrassment in the world’s stage would help it to identify its mistake and rectify the same. China is a sort of a closed country. In our day to day world news it is very rare to find any reports about the happenings of china. It is not as transparent as U.S or England or India. So to handle a country of that sort, the Tibet people are left with no choice but protest. The value of freedom is known not to those who enjoy it but to those who long for it.

Friendship is identification and difference. Some of us in this world would not have experienced the affection of mother, father, brother or sister. But all of us would have had friends. A person born somewhere thinks about you and cares for you. Understanding is very important in this relationship. Mutual care and respect is mandatory to keep this relationship alive. GPS is an acronym standing for Global Positioning System. It consists of 24 satellites, base station and a receiver. It is mainly used for navigation and tracking. The working of GPS depends on the proper working of three different segments. User Segment is a small mobile device which is capable of communicating to the satellites. The Space Segment consists of the satellites that revolve around the globe transmitting the signal. The Control segment controls the navigation of the satellites. A satellite, at any given point of time, can communicate with at least three different satellites. This process is termed as Trilation. The control segment helps in deciding the place of the user segment and thus a unique place is plotted round the globe.

The absolute entertainer has finally arrived. IPL standing for Indian premier league consist of eight different teams. Each team has around six Indian players and rest of the team consists of foreign players. The teams are Royal challengers-Bangalore, Chennai Super kings, Delhi Dare Devils, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Night Riders, Deccan Chargers, Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians. These teams would play a series of match in its Twenty20 version almost everyday from 18th April to1st June. The semifinals and the finals of this grand series are going to be held in Mumbai. This is one of the most expected series of India with huge investments from all corners of the world. It is rightly defined as “cricket ka Karmayudh”!

One of the serious concerns any scientist today is Global Warming. Due to ozone layer depletion the average temperature of earth is rapidly shooting. To make things worse this increase is more in the polar region than in the equator region. This not only makes the place incapable to live for some rare species but also raises the sea level. This in turn makes the sea to enter into the land as its volume increases rapidly. Things don’t stop there. Drastic climatic change will be pronounced around the globe with flood at one place, extreme draught at another place, rainfall and storm in most of the places. This gristly condition is not very far if our world continues in the present state. Our future generations are going to suffer the most. If we can’t improve the situation for their betterment then why don’t we stop making things worse?

Raster formats can be generally separated into 2 categories loosy formats and lossless formats. Lossy formats lose resolution when converted while lossless formats preserve image formation.
